When she’s not busy playing with her puppies Zelda and Dot, moping, or experimenting with nail art, Zooey Deschanel is now designing dresses. Today, WWD reports that the New Girl actress has been hard at work on a presumably very twee capsule collection of sixteen dresses for Tommy Hilfiger.

According to WWD, Tommy and Zooey have been friends ever since the designer complimented Zooey’s vintage jumpsuit. The collection, which Deschanel named To Tommy From Zooey, includes sixteen “sixties-inspired short dresses” and is full of patriotic hues and “flirty fabrics.” Zooey describes the overall aesthetic, which includes a variety of prints, pleats, piqué, and linen, as “modical” — a hybrid of Mod and nautical. The dresses — each of which Deschanel named after friends — will retail between $98 and $199, and go on sale at Macy’s stores in mid-April.
