Last night, in L.A., Chloë Sevigny attended A&E’s double premiere of Bates Motel and Those Who Kill — she plays a “recently promoted homicide detective” in the latter, which is based on a Danish crime TV series of the same name — wearing a short, black dress with a very full skirt. The outfit, made of watermarked black silk, features a simple tank neckline and such a substantially layered white petticoat that it could nearly be mistaken for a tutu. Perched on her toes in ankle-strap heels and sporting a ballerina bun and feminine pink lip, the actress does resemble an elegant dancer.
