Looking Back: L’Wren Scott Dresses Made Celebrities Shine

By

“L’Wren has an extraordinary ability to make dresses that genuinely flatter a woman,” Sarah Jessica Parker told The Telegraph in 2011. “She makes an unbelievably contemporary dress in a remarkably old-fashioned way for all sorts of women and body types.” Parker was far from alone in her praise for L’Wren Scott’s exquisite, colorful creations. “L’Wren’s clothes make you feel like a sexy pin-up, a sophisticated lady, and a rock star all at once,” said fan Christina Hendricks, who rarely graced a red carpet not wearing one of Scott’s dresses. The glamorous designer, who died yesterday from an apparent suicide, was favored by several celebrities, including Amy Adams and Penélope Cruz — though perhaps no one more than Nicole Kidman, who first wore one of her designs at the 2006 Rome Film Festival, the same year that Scott launched her collection. Click through our slideshow for a look back at the best of Scott’s dresses on the red carpet from the past decade.
