L’Wren Scott’s funeral took place at Los Angeles’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery yesterday, just eight days after she tragically took her own life. The private ceremony was attended by 70 people, and her casket was covered with hundreds of pink and white roses, according to the New York Post. Her longtime partner, Mick Jagger, and friend Ellen Barkin gave eulogies, and other close friends and family gave readings and speeches, including Scott’s niece, who read Shakespeare’s "Sonnet 18," which begins with the line, “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”
