When it came to the Kimye wedding last weekend, it looked like no expense was spared. Guests ate handmade pasta in a historical stone fort in Florence, Kim Kardashian wore a custom Givenchy couture gown, and a gold toilet tower was allegedly on hand. So, relatively speaking, the products that went into creating the beauty look were just one-sixteenth of the masonry budget, as Mario Dedivanovic (better known as @MakeupbyMario) shared with the Cut.
Dedivanovic, who first met Kardashian six years ago at a cover shoot in New York City, created the wedding look for the bride. "I wanted to keep her look very classic and soft," he explained. "I went with radiant, dewy skin, a classic black line on the lids, lots of lashes, and a nude lip." Kardashian had just one makeup look for the wedding, switching to a more glossy nude lip at the end of the night.
What went into that look? An abundance of Urban Decay products, it turns out, including the Naked Skin Liquid Foundation ($39), Flushed Highlighter ($30), Waterproof Precision Eye Pen ($19), Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($20), and the brand's Perversion Mascara (out next month), which Dedivanovic praised on Twitter as "blacker than black."
He also used Kardashian Beauty individual lashes ($6.49) with L'Oréal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow ($7.95) on the lids, plus Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade ($18). The nude lip colors were Kardashian Beauty Honey Stick Lip Gloss in Natural Honey ($8.99) and L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lip Colour in Nude Ballet ($9.99). Approximate cost: $180. All things considered, a bargain.
