The Next Costume Institute Show Will Be About Chinese Design

With three brands (Balenciaga, Burberry, and Michael Kors) having mounted fashion events there in the past month, the design world's eye is definitely on China. And, while it feels like the Met's Charles James exhibit opened only yesterday, a WWD report claims that a China-themed show is already being planned for next spring. However, according to WWD, further details — like a potential sponsor — have yet to be announced. We've emailed a Met spokesperson for a comment and will update this when we hear back.
