Thomas Tait Wins LVMH Prize

It's a big day for British designer Thomas Tait: He is the first-ever winner of the LVMH Young Designer Award, reports WWD. The prize is 300,000 euros ($409,270) and a year of mentorship. The other finalists for the honor were Simon Porte Jacquemus of Jacquemus, Chris Gelinas, Gabriele Colangelo, Shayne Oliver of Hood by Air, Nikita and Tina Sutradhar of Miuniku, Tillmann Lauterbach, Tim Coppens, Simone Rocha, Vika Gazinskaya, and Suno's Erin Beatty and Max Osterweis. The judging panel included Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, and LVMH's Delphine Arnault.
