Martha Stewart Isn’t Ready for Her Biopic

In an interview for Haute Living, the writer asked Martha Stewart whom Martha would prefer to play her in a nonexistent biopic. She questions the question: “I don’t think I’m ready to be played yet. I still have a lot more to do and I think it would be a little premature to make a movie about me.”

A biopic would imply that Martha Stewart is done living. Martha Stewart is not done living.

And this isn't the only age fallacy that Stewart questions. We certainly aren’t giving enough credit to the toddlers of America. For example, she has employed her 3-year-old granddaughter and 2-year-old grandson to the best of their abilities.

Kids are much more able to do things than a lot of people think. They have learned how to collect the eggs from the chickens. They have learned how to pull carrots from the ground. They have learned how to roll out pie-crusts.

In Martha's world, there are gainfully employed 2-year-olds and 72-year-olds just beginning that fun second act of their future biopic. All good things.
