Gucci’s husband-and-wife team — Frida Giannini and Patrizio di Marco — are departing the company after six years at the helm, WWD reports. Giannini, who has served as creative director, will leave after Gucci's show in Milan on February 25, while CEO di Marco is slated to depart on January 1.
While Kering, the brand's holding company, has already selected Marco Bizzarri — its chief executive of luxury couture and leather goods — to step in as CEO, the mantle of creative director remains up for grabs. Already rumored for the job: Riccardo Tisci and Joseph Altuzarra. Let a new round of designer musical chairs begin!
