Kate Middleton Wore a Very Familiar Dress to the Met

Though Kate Middleton may have recently hired a new stylist to fuel her burgeoning interest in trends, it appears that last night’s St. Andrews 600th Anniversary Dinner at the Met — the final stop on the royal couple’s excitement-filled tour of NYC — was not the time for any sartorial riskiness. Rather than experiment with sheer fabrics, cutouts, or exposed knees, the Duchess stuck with this tried and true midnight blue Jenny Packham number, which served her well earlier this year, when she wore it to a National Portrait Gallery event in February, as well as the previous October, at a 100 Women in Hedge Funds dinner. If Kate’s latest fashion goal is to develop a uniform (apart from pancake fascinators), she’s well on her way.
