Precise pretty person Allison Williams, who probably flosses regularly and all that business, has detailed an unsuccessful tactic to increase meaty roles for female actors: levying a request to play the male parts.
In an interview with Glamour, Williams says: "The number of scripts that take my breath away are few and far between. There are some that are gorgeous, but I want to play all the male roles in them. I always ask, and I'm always told no." Even after playing such a male boy-man in Peter Pan? Golly, that's too bad. Best of luck to her in her next lobbying effort. May we see her billed as whichever Paul or Preston or Luke she desires.
