The Victoria and Albert’s reboot of “Savage Beauty” was already considered one of the hottest tickets of spring 2015. Now, the show has broken records by selling out even before it’s opened. The Independent reports that the museum has added more than 50,000 tickets and extended the closing date to August 2, as well as adding additional morning and evening viewing times. Considering the 2011 show at the Met Costume Institute drew half a million visitors, such rabid public demand hardly comes as a surprise. Museum director Martin Roth told the paper, “We are committed to providing access to as many [tickets] as possible during its 20-week run and so pleased to now offer many more opportunities to see this magnificent show in London.”
