Do you go to Barry's Bootcamp only to create enough of a calorie deficit to justify annihilating a cheeseburger and fries later on? Well, if your exercise regimen is just a means to a meaty, hamburger-y end, here's some good news for you!

After testing the effects of different sorts of post-workout snacks on exercise performance among 11 athletic men, blessed researchers from the University of Montana discovered that eating fast food — i.e., a burger, fries, and a Coke — after hitting the gym is just as good as suffering through a Clif Bar, PowerBar, or protein shake.

Finally, science confirms what I've always felt to be true: A double ShackBurger with a side of crinkle fries absolutely counts as health food.
