In a highly readable roundtable interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lena Dunham teaches fellow TV comedians Amy Schumer, Gina Rodriguez, and others all about “the nude patch” — the female equivalent of the little penis bag male actors sometimes wear to cover their junk while filming nude scenes. “You glue it over your vagina,” she explains. “It gets sweaty and always fall off.”

Rather than suffer soggy discomfort and constant reapplication on the set of Girls, Dunham prefers to go without: “I stopped wearing the nude patch after the first season of Girls. There’s not one guy who works on that show who hasn’t seen the inside of my vagina,” she said.

We thank Dunham for her tireless work in acquainting men with accurate female anatomy.
