While traveling to Oaxaca, Elise Durbecq, and Gillian Tozer — the designers behind TRUSS — fell in love with the woven totes that were commonly used in the region. They decided to partner up with local weavers to bring the bags back to the United States. Like other summer accessories that benefit a good cause, a portion of the proceeds aids in the development of local communities. Made from recycled plastic, they’re a cool, graphic spin on the classic beach bag, one you can bring to the shore or park.
