Report: Lucky Magazine Is Dead

Even by the standards of the current print landscape, Lucky has had an embattled couple of months. Shortly after editor-in-chief Eva Chen parted ways with the publication, Lucky announced that it would go from putting out ten issues per year to becoming a quarterly with a “premium collectible feeling,” while continuing to focus on digital ventures. Now, Fashion Week Daily has an item claiming that the Lucky Group, which is a joint venture between BeachMint and Condé Nast, is “closing up shop,” and giving remaining staffers two weeks’ severance. Our own sources have told us that they were fired and given no severance whatsoever, despite being longtime employees. We’ve reached out to a Lucky rep for comment and will update this when we hear back.
