PSA: Drunk Driving Bad, Insulting Women Totally Fine

Officials in Tennessee recently made a well-meaning attempt to reach young men with an important message: Don't drink and drive. Unfortunately, their delivery method was a little Tosh.0 for most people's tastes.

The Governor's Highway Safety Office attempted to promote anti-drinking-and-driving messages throughout the state by distributing coasters and flyers boasting controversial messages about young women. "Buy a drink for a marginally good-looking girl, only to find out she’s chatty, clingy and your boss’s daughter," reads a drink coaster that seems totally fine with young men binge-drinking and treating a girl like garbage, as long as it doesn't lead up to getting in a car. Another flyer read, "After a few drinks the girls look hotter and the music sounds better. Just remember: If your judgement is impaired, so is your driving."

The campaign has since been canceled. We can only assume Tennessee officials were wearing their beer goggles when they came up with it.
