Ben Carson Admits There May Be a War on ‘What’s Inside of Women’

Republicans usually deny that there’s any war on women, to the point that Fox News’ Megyn Kelly was criticized for using the term in a debate question without the preface “so-called.” But on Thursday in Little Rock, Arkansas, Ben Carson made an interesting admission. “They tell you that there’s a war on women,” he said. “There is no war on women. There may be a war on what’s inside of women, but there is no war on women in this country.”

Carson did not elaborate, so it’s possible he meant there’s a war on women’s inner confidence, or even a war on the sexual exploits of Anastasia Steele’s inner goddess. But he was probably talking about fetuses. As Cosmo notes, Carson once told Fox News, “There is no war on [women], the war is on their babies,” adding that the unborn can’t defend themselves, so “what we need to do is re-educate the women to understand that they are the defenders of these babies.”

This explanation is as sound and logical as Carson’s wistful suggestion that immigrants and slaves worked for long hours and little or no money mainly because they “had a dream” for their grandchildren, not because such abusive practices had yet to be outlawed. Ladies, take comfort in the fact that politicians aren’t fighting you, they’re just waging war on some of your non-vital organs.
