The Love List
Insiders on their favorite things from the last 24 hours of Fashion Week

Rebecca Ramsay, Senior Fashion Editor, the Cut

At Altuzarra, I loved the tie-dyed bursts of color, like the green shirtdress and the red tee.

Also loved the embroidered, embellished crochet lace finale dresses in white and the palest baby blue — sweet and sensual with a nod to arts and crafts.

Isaac Mizrahi, Designer

Lacoste looks super-stylish, while Jill Stuart looks merely styled. And the pants at Givenchy make evening dresses look obsolete.

Diana Tsui, Senior Market Editor, the Cut

At Banana Republic, the clothes were uncomplicated and super-wearable.

The bright striped coat thrown over a pink top and skirt was so cheerful and happy you almost forgot it was raining outside.

Amy Larocca, Fashion Director, New York Magazine

I liked the video at Alexander Wang. It felt like him saying, “Balenci-who? This is who I am and what I love to do, and I'm great at it.”

Diana Tsui, Senior Market Editor, the Cut

Dion Lee is a master at slinky shapes and details that move well.

Look 25 featured a honeycomb leather skirt with fringed edges that literally felt like it was alive because it just kept bouncing and swishing.

Shiona Turini, Fashion Contributor, the Cut

I made a quick pit stop between shows to the new Valentino boutique on Fifth Avenue to grab a pair of the limited-edition Rockrunners.

Not sure which I loved more — my custom initials on the back of the sneakers or the insanely amazing carpet in the boutique!

Cameron Silver, Fashion Director, H by Halston, and Founder, Decades

Last night Monique Lhuillier offered a fresh take on her phenomenal red-carpet dressing with this architectural bustier top with a dramatic train.

Worn over a slight boot-cut silk pant, it reminded us that black tie can be thoroughly modern.

Altuzarra leather tassel

Simon Doonan, Creative Ambassador-at-Large, Barneys

I love a woven leather tassel. Always have. So Joseph Altuzarra’s new bags — shown with his luscious spring linens — blew my wig off.

Véronique Hyland, Fashion News Editor, the Cut

Stunning debuts from Monse and Phelan, the former in a beautiful private club, the latter in a funky East Village theater.

It’s easy for people inside the industry to get jaded about Fashion Week, and it’s just as easy for those outside the industry to find this attitude baffling. A full week dedicated to looking at beautiful clothes? What’s not to love?

In the spirit of positivity, the Cut has been asking insiders — designers, editors, celebrities — about their favorite Fashion Week moment from the past 24 hours. Maybe it’s a runway look, maybe it’s a model, maybe it’s a funny thing that happened in the cab on the way to the show. Above, we present the first Love List: an interactive photo wall of the past day’s highlights. Hover over a photo to find out who loved each particular moment, and why.
