Would You Pay Money to Make Your House Smell Like Cats?

Imagine burrowing your nose into the furry head of a cat and taking a big ol' whiff. What do you smell? Do you love that smell and want to smell it all the time?

Well, Japanese company Yamamoto Perfumery thinks you might, despite the fact that most cat owners spend their lives attempting to remove this exact odor from any fabric they own. After visiting all the cat cafés in Japan for scent research, the company's head perfumer created the "Fluffy Forehead Fragrance Fabric Water," a room spray that smells just like a pet cat — which, according to sniffers surveyed, resembles delightful scents like the "smell of sunshine," "a futon that’s been dried in the sun,” or “sweet bread."

Funny, I'd have guessed it smelled like animal fur, fish, and apathy.
