Malia Obama is our nation’s coolest teen, so she’s no stranger to being humiliated by her parents’ bad jokes and overprotectiveness. But unlike most teens, her routine parental embarrassment is played out on a national stage for all of us to cringe at together. Poor, poor Malia.
According to ABC News, President Obama announced at a recent lunch his intention to cry at Malia’s upcoming high-school graduation.
“Malia’s school asked if I wanted to speak at commencement and I said no,” he said. “I’m going to be wearing dark glasses … and I’m going to cry.”
If Malia can endure the video of her mom rapping about college, surely she can endure this.
