The affirming sun and attractive Venus bring about major shifts in our collective energies when they move into new signs this week. The sun’s move into Pisces brings the dueling aspects of our higher and lower natures into the emotional waters that were purified during Aquarius season. This brings energies that may be, at times, hard to read; but with patience and faith, Pisces season deepens our emotional, intuitive, and imaginative capacities. For the next month, we’ll discover more of ourselves to give through work and relationships. The challenge is learning how to navigate the chaos of daily life without being swallowed by the emotions within us.

Venus’s arrival in Aquarius on Tuesday will certainly help to keep our inner and outer worlds in balance since she’s the primary symbol of how we experience attraction and connection. Aquarius can help us incorporate marginalized points of view into the larger vision. However, the objective and intellectual purity of the sign can keep us from appreciating what’s practical in favor of sticking to what’s ideal or perfect. Move forward knowing that you need to be flexible about what’s happening around you. You have to use your heart and your head, not either/or.

In heady Aquarius, Venus wants to keep things pleasant and on message. That’s important, but don’t be afraid of letting things get a little messy. For instance, a longtime friendship doesn’t have to end because romantic feelings are coming to the surface. Likewise, bookending a meeting with meditation or prayer doesn’t negate the need for a heated debate in between. There’s room for all of it.

The planetary weather report: Use these guidelines to unlock the stars, not to be locked down by them.

Last week’s new moon feels the growing pains of becoming a quarter moon on Monday. We feel it as the need to make good on our lofty intentions. However, as the sun shifts signs on Friday, ease up on the big aspirations before they contort you into a self-righteous and self-flagellating soul instead of a person who just wants to have a better life. Your goals are guides, adaptable to your feelings and intentions, not the other way around.

Read on for your sign’s Sky Code.

Aquarius (January 21 to February 18)

With shiny-sexy Venus, twinkling Mercury, and the effervescent sun in your sign in the first half of the week, all eyes are likely on you. Some will land on you because you’re fly and they want to know more. If you’ve wanted certain people to know you better, even in the biblical sense, this is your week to make it happen. Others, however, will look to you for guidance and clarity. You have those things, but don’t get so involved with outside messes that you lose sight of your own needs.

Pisces (February 19 to March 20)

As the sun arrives in your sign on Friday, you might feel a need to get some distance from others or just be alone. This might not go over too well with anyone who decides to get fancy and throw you a surprise birthday party. The need to withdraw into yourself might be stronger than usual this year. However, your desire for space doesn’t mean you won’t eventually warm up, if given the chance. Claim the space when you need it, but not too much. You may not require as much as you think.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

You enjoy the buzz of the hive mind in social media or with friends, as long as you have the option to turn it all off and do your own thing. For the first half of the week, you’re more inclined to be all about your friends and associates. When the sun dips into Pisces on Friday, you might feel the need to stick closer to home. However, you don’t have to go radio silent with your buddies to enjoy some quiet time. Keep your phone on.

Taurus (April 20 to May 21)

You can flex your networking muscles to great effect when the illustrious sun moves into Pisces on Friday. No need to go heavy on the charm, because sweet Venus, shining at the highest point of your heavenly chart, allows you to draw others to you effortlessly. Just stay sharp about why you’re reaching out to them as they fly into your orbit. Pull back on Sunday evening to think about how you can work your new connections into your game plan for gaining more career traction.

Gemini (May 22 to June 20)

When the glorious sun coasts into Pisces on Friday, it sails over your career sector, the highest part of the sky for you. This can bring positive recognition and achievement if you’ve been gracious to your team members, efficient with your tasks, and hardworking overall. However, if you haven’t been giving your all, it’s time to cast a bigger net to learn more and get to know the people who can help you get to your next level of success.

Cancer (June 21 to July 21)

You trust your crew, family (at least most of them), and close co-workers. However, this week will depend a lot on how you treat strangers or newcomers. New people always bring different challenges and energy. You do not have the capacity to be fake so don’t even try it. Others will see right through it and you’ll even feel more reluctant to open up afterward. Get clear on what someone needs to do to start earning your trust.

Leo (July 22 to August 21)

It’s great to give from the heart, whether emotionally or materially. However, you also have to make sure that you’re paying attention with your eyes. Some people can’t receive what you’re prepared to give. They’re allergic to kindness and you’re not doing them (or yourself) any favors by thinking you’re the cure. So, give, but be a wise giver. When sweet Venus moves into open Aquarius on Tuesday, perhaps she will help you be more open to accepting the generosity of others.

Virgo (August 22 to September 21)

Once the sun dips into the churning waters of Pisces on Friday, you might feel a nervous shift in your relationships with your partner or loved ones. You may want to change your appearance to be even more attractive to others. Any nervousness or discomfort you feel is completely natural and know that you probably are way more appealing than you recognize. The extra primping you want to do now is more insurance than necessary. You’ve already sold adoring folks on what a quality package you are.

Libra (September 22 to October 21)

At the top of the week, pleasure-loving Venus in Aquarius joins fast Mercury and the party-hardy sun to seek out more excitement. You might have an unusual craving for loads of cerebral, physical, and emotional stimulation. This might lead you to be on your phone while getting a massage, for example, but others might wonder what you’re attempting to accomplish here. They’re right to speculate because you might not get much done at all. You’re likely taking in so much that you’re adding more stress to your system. Stagger your diversions instead of attempting to have them all at once.

Scorpio (October 22 to November 21)

You turn down the charm from last week to turn up your creativity. But coziness will be equally important to you, so sometimes you might want to keep your creative endeavors to what you can accomplish while still in bed. You may use your originality to tackle domestic tasks, even taking a crack at a slightly demanding renovation project. The current cluster of planets could also be used to reach out to the people who make you feel secure and give you a sense of home, like close friends or family.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21)

You’re likely to be chatty and excitable at the top of the week. You may be practically giddy to catch up with friends or dive into new shows or books. However, once the sparkling sun settles into reflective Pisces, you also might become contemplative and withdrawn. Once you feel that way, let others know, because they might wonder what happened to the livelier you from a few days prior. Some might even think they did something to make you disappear.

Capricorn (December 22 to January 20)

You’ve spent weeks shoring up your foundations, especially your money, close friends, and time. Now you have to trust that you’ve made things solid enough to reach out to people who, right now, are in your peripheral vision, but traveling on similar intellectual or professional wavelengths. That might not be as easy as it sounds: You’re going to have to recognize that no one is on your exact same frequency. Be flexible enough to accept people who essentially feel you and get where you’re coming from.
