Here’s a reason to spend every lazy Sunday in the park this summer: Brooklyn’s Prospect Park has a new design-minded market from the team behind Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg.

Opening May 1, Grand Army Market will be the upscale Sunday complement to Prospect Park’s popular Saturday Greenmarket, featuring 30 local artists and designers selling food and upscale goods: designer kids’ clothing from Wovenplay (for the Park Slope moms!), whimsical mossy orbs for summer gardening by B sixonetwo, and occult jewelry from Species by the Thousands.

Stop by the Tula greenery truck, pick up lavender cake donuts from Underwest Donuts, and head over to Smorgasburg at Breeze Hill (there’s now a bar there for day drinking).

Grand Army Market will be open at Prospect Park’s northwest entrance May 1 through October, every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
