Hillary Clinton isn’t the president of the United States just yet — okay, she’s not even officially the Democratic nominee — but if she does manage to clinch the White House in November, it sounds like she’s prepared. At a campaign stop in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Sunday evening, Clinton revealed that she already has a job in mind for Bill Clinton, who, if she’s elected, would be the first-ever First Gentleman. Bill won’t be choosing floral arrangements or china patterns — instead, Hillary will put him in charge of “revitalizing the economy.”

Hillary has suggested before that she might delegate such a task to her First Dude. “I’ve told my husband he’s got to come out of retirement and be in charge of this because he’s got more ideas a minute than anybody I know,” she said during another stop in Kentucky earlier this month. “We’re going to give it all we’ve got.”

And during a debate in December, Hillary said she’d seek Bill’s advice, “for special missions and in particular how we’re going to get the economy working again for everybody, which he knows a little bit about.” That response, of course, was to a misguided question about whether Clinton thought the role of first spouse should evolve.

Clinton, who’s had to defend her own decisions to “have a career” and “have opinions” as First Lady, went on to say, “With respect to my own husband, I’m probably still going to pick the flowers and the china for state dinners and stuff like that.” With those duties off the table, it’s good to know Bill will have something to keep him busy while his wife leads the free world.
