Drake’s Is Now Collaborating With J.Crew

No, you didn’t read the headline wrong — Drake’s is partnering up with J.Crew on a collection. Except it’s not that Drake. The name in question actually belongs to a British haberdashery company founded back in 1977. Known mainly for their ties and shirts, the company has never done women’s clothes — until now.

The pattern-filled partnership came after Jenna Lyons spotted head of women’s design Somsack Sikhounmuong wearing a handkerchief from the brand. They approached Drake’s to create a capsule collection that combined the sensibilities of the two. Given J.Crew’s love of all things bright and happy, they took their color library and applied it to the British label’s wacky prints. The result: bold pink Bengal tiger blouses, deep wine bird of paradise point flats, and a pretty spectacular navy unicorn pajama set. Prices range from just under $60 for a scarf to $198 for the tops and pants. See some select styles as well as a sketch below.
