Brock Turner, the former Stanford swimmer who raped an unconscious woman behind a dumpster on the university’s campus in January of 2015, was released from jail early on Friday after serving a three-month sentence, half the sentence he was originally expected to serve.

According to the AP, Turner will return to Ohio to live with his parents while he serves three years of supervised probation. He must register as a lifelong sex offender.
