Melissa Joan Hart, the actress formerly known as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, has officially thrown her support behind one Gary Johnson for this presidential race. After Hart reached out to the Libertarian candidate’s campaign asking to join forces, she was named their Connecticut chairwoman. And Hart is enthusiastic about her support for Johnson, even if it’s more likely we’ll see a talking cat than a third-party candidate elected president in 2016.
“I want to break away from this two-party system and I think it’s important for people to know that there’s another candidate out there who really toes the line between Democrat and Republican,” says Hart, who has a home in Connecticut. “I mean he’s Libertarian. But socially he’s liberal, but fiscally conservative.”
“Governors, I love, because they already ran their state as like a little president,” Hart, 40, says. “So he gets the way, you know, things run. The politics of it all.”
Motion to get the title of Governor officially changed to “Little President.”
