Ralph Lauren is currently writing a memoir that’s set to be released in fall 2017, just in time for the 50th anniversary of his legendary fashion house.

The autobiography’s publisher, Simon & Schuster, told the Associated Press that the as-yet-unnamed book will detail how Ralph Lauren’s business became the “epitome of American style.”

“His style is instantly recognizable to even the most casual observer, a triumph of business savvy and aesthetic sensibility that is unmatched anywhere,” Simon & Schuster CEO Carolyn Reidy said.

Lauren, now 76, was born into an immigrant household in New York City and eventually became one of the richest men in the world. He resigned as chief executive of his iconic brand in 2015.

The designer previously published a coffee-table book, aptly named Ralph Lauren, which was released in 2007 and included hundreds of photos.
