Possibly rebelling against New York’s signature ascetic aesthetic, the fashion flocks traded in silky slips for voluminous silhouettes yesterday at New York Fashion Week. Queen Peacock Giovanna Engelbert’s lush red dress look positively streamlined compared to Kate Foley’s tangerine balloon sleeves, while Rachel Wang’s polka-dot poplin was an oversize partner to a tiny green box bag. Flares, both of the cropped pant and cuff variety, made many appearances.
