Have you had sex recently? If so, way to humblebrag: American voters are apparently in a severe dry spell due to the stress of the election, according to a new survey.

The fertility app Kindara found that the election was negatively affecting women’s sex lives, particularly those who identify as Democrats, the Daily Dot pointed out. The app surveyed 928 of its female users who were eligible to vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election at the end of October. The results showed that 19 percent of Democratic women and 9 percent of Republican women reported the election was impacting their sex lives.

Of course, it’s worth noting that the survey came from an app collecting the opinions of its users, rather than a nationally representative sample. But given that stress can, in general, affect a person’s sex drive, we wouldn’t be surprised if the election was prompting some people to temporarily give up the pursuit of getting laid. At least now you have an excuse for your dry spell?
