Paid Story: See style blogger Tania Sarin's step-by-step for transitioning from work day to after hours without sacrificing personal style.
Between attending fashion-industry events, orchestrating her own photo shoots, and keeping up with her tight-knit circle of friends and family, Tania Sarin’s days are nonstop. Together with Topshop at Nordstrom, the Cut presents a three-part series documenting how the L.A. style blogger transitions her look from a.m. to p.m. without slowing down.
While most of us have a workplace dress code, Sarin gets to wear what she wants to every day. For a morning of catching up on emails at one of her favorite coffee shops, she puts together a trend-conscious look that’s deceptively easygoing. Mainstays like dark shades, a basic white tee, and a black leather jacket might seem straightforward, but paired with graphic-patterned culottes and sturdy platform boots, she looks every bit the style-authority part.
Settling in with a mug of morning roast and her go-to Mediterranean bowl, Sarin runs through details for her approaching fashion shoots. Even while checking off less-exciting tasks, her new-classic outer layer effects a cooler, more sophisticated aesthetic than just “working remotely.” In her words: “A leather jacket like this one is a staple every girl should have — it’s so easy to add to any look for any occasion.”
To prep for a concert in West Hollywood, Sarin changes into a relaxed, vintage-look tee and girlfriend-cut denim. “Distressed jeans are everything right now,” she notes. “I pair them with everything in my closet.” Along with the same shades and block-heel boots as earlier, the tastemaker’s always-appropriate moto jacket feels pitch-perfect. As Sarin’s all-day style strategy comes full circle, she’s already on her way to jam out to The Julie Ruin.
