Gn's opulent designs boast luxurious fabrics and exquisite handiwork more readily associated with haute couture. The Singapore-born, Paris-based designer develops his embroideries in-house and creates his own buttons and embellishments, which is good news for the “bourgeois princesses” who look to him for one-of-a-kind event-dressing. Artisanal details in the form of bows, mink trim, and beading keep the royals and socials coming back for more. Gn enjoys close friendships with many of his well-heeled clients, and claims to generate 20 percent of his business through trunk sales and personal appearances.
