Originally operating from founder Ian Gerard's dorm kitchen at NYU Law School, the Gen Art showcase is the best place to sniff out emerging talent in film, the visual arts, and of course, fashion. The Masters runway show is a competition complete with pop-rock soundtrack, celebrity host, industry-insider judges like IMG's Fern Mallis, and up to $35,000 in prizes. Famous Gen Art alumni include Rebecca Taylor, Zac Posen, Vena Cava, and Peter Som.
