The color palette of Peter Pilotto’s spring 2014 collection was so vast that it looked as if a rainbow had exploded on the runway. The collection, that managed to stuff everything from origami-pleat jackets to crop tops within it, kicked off with looks that covered the green spectrum (from celery to aqua), moved into pastel blues, and finished off with bright violets, fuchsias, and oranges. Sheers, bouclé tweed, psychedelic prints, and orchid lace also added to the mix, as well as stiff crinolines that were used to add volume and emphasize the hourglass shape. According to the duo, the inspiration for the collection was the work of artist Ken Price.
