Cut Pick ★

With a show entitled “A Dialogue Between Construction and Ease,” Jason Wu struck a balance between tightly tailored separates and slouchy yet luxurious pieces. A muted color palette of white, nude, and black was accented with shots of mint green, navy, and a healthy dose of sparkles for daywear. The show opened with Karen Elson clad in a shimmering gold-metallic bias dress before segueing into utility-inspired coats and jumpsuits. There were oversized sweaters paired with embellished skirts and even a romper. Karlie Kloss and Kati Nescher closed in tank gowns that featured elaborate trains. Mirroring the glittery collection were the gilded lids of the models, courtesy of Diane Kendal for Lancôme. Odile Gilbert parted hair down the middle and cinched sleek ponytails tightly with a matching gold clip. Notable front-row attendees include Alicia Keys, Emily Mortimer, and Maria Sharapova.
