Cut Pick ★
Transforming the Musée Rodin into a lush greenhouse setting dripping with plants, Raf Simons created a floral paradise for his latest Christian Dior collection. Vivid printed blooms tempered with sharply cut black jackets opened the show before seguing into the unusual color combinations Simons is known for. Acid green was paired with pink, burgundy added a dark note to cornflower blue, and bursts of orange were present everywhere. Words like hyperrealness, Alice Garden, and Primrose Path were splashed across dresses, preventing the ultra-feminine pieces from ever veering into saccharine. To further accent the runway looks, dripping beaded collars in green, blue, and purple added sparkle. Hair was pulled back into sleek side-parted chignons, but it was the brows and eyelids lined in gold that stood out.
