Carb lovers willing to put their resolutions in gear can sign up for a complete lifestyle overhaul at David Kirsch's Madison Square Club, the exclusive training facility responsible for the physiques of Heidi Klum and James King. Only six clients can work out in the living-room-like space at a time, each one accompanied by a trainer ($1,260 and up for twelve sessions, plus $100 monthly fee). Kirsch's pampering extends beyond the studio; for $60 a day, his food-delivery service will drop off sesame-crusted salmon and other low-fat meals at your door.
97 Greenwich Avenue
GREAT DEAL: A more affordable but equally appealing option is Equinox (annual membership is approximately $1,800), which has expanded its empire yet again, this time with a super-size club on Greenwich Avenue complete with a 25-yard swimming pool, day spa, and growing cadre of celebrities (Gwyneth has already been spotted). Members can sign on with a personal trainer or construct their own program from a roster of innovative classes and special events.
