Once you’ve experienced Bliss Spa’s Ginger Rub ($210), you will never be satisfied by a scrub that does not begin with twenty minutes spent slathered in crushed ginger and essential oils and in which you are wrapped, like some kind of New Age burrito, in foil and left to soften on a heated bed of water. By the time the masseuse towels you off and begins the comprehensive 100-minute massage, you’re as pliable as Play-Doh and you’ve forgotten whatever it was that caused those knots in your shoulder in the first place. By the end, you may have forgotten your own name.
