Tuesday: On the Waterfront

Romance along the Hudson.

BY AMY ZIMMER

The Hudson River Festival's lineup of Latin jazz, R&B, world beat, Caribbean, salsa, and contemporary music provides the perfect backdrop for a waterfront sunset.
Free concerts nightly in Battery Park City, the World Financial Center, and historic Battery Park; concerts generally begin between 7pm and 8pm. See hudsonriverrfestival.com for details.

Amble up the esplanade to Pier 25. If there's time, you can play mini-golf and beach volleyball. Otherwise, just grab a soda from the snack bar and relax by the water.
Pier 25, Hudson River Park, Enter at N. Moore or Harrison Sts.; friendsofhudsonriverpark.org.

End the evening with home-cooked comfort food at TriBeCa classic Bubby's. Don't forget to share a slice of one of their heavenly pies.
Bubby's, 120 Hudson St., 212-219-0666.

Estimated cost: $40
