Beware!! This theater has an unreasonably strict policy on admitting ticket holders once the performance begins. And performances start exactly on time! I showed up at 7:34 for a 7:30 performance. I frequently attend the theater, and in my experience, shows always start at least 5 minutes late. So I wasnt too concerned when my out-of-town-guests got stuck in traffic coming into the city. I was shocked, upon arriving 4 minutes late, to hear we wouldnt be allowed to see the show. I explained my situation to the snippy box office manager, to no avail. My guests were extremely disappointed to miss the play, and it really ruined the evening (I scrambled to find an appropriate event, at the very last minute, for a diverse group of age ranges and interests). In lieu of a refund, the theater offered vouchers that can only be used on the day of a performance, with no guarantee that the new tickets will be similar to the original tickets. Since I find this theaters policy completely unreasonable relative to all other NYC theaters Ive frequented, I wanted to warn other ticket holders.
