The Federal Reserve Bank of New York hosts several excellent exhibits created by the American Numismatic Society (www.numismatics.org). Currently on view are Drachmas, Doubloons and Dollars: The History of Money as well as a new short term exhibit entitled "I suppose I shall be impeached for it..." Theodore Roosevelt, Augustus Saint-Gaudens and America's most beautiful coin. Both exhibits feature priceless highlights from the American Numismatic Society's unrivaled collection of coins, medals, token, and paper currency. A must-see for any numismatist, history buff, art-lover, or student of material culture.
