You know when a song comes on that you just can't help but exclaim "I love this song" and immediately start shaking it or pumping your fist... make that every song for an entire night until your feet beg for mercy, and you get this dj's playlist. 205's best crowd is Friday night and come wearing as little as possible as you'll melt right through them dancing the night away. Diverse crowd, surprisingly sexy guys & girls, and a staff that brings you a glass of champagne if they find out its your birthday! I wish I lived above this secret dance spot... its more than rad.

Went there about a year ago and remembered having a good time. Thought there would be a hassle at the door, but got in with ease. Bartenders were easy to flag down, and the crowd was amazing. Enjoyed the music as well. Will be going back soon. Only con was $10 cover charge (I have this thing against paying to get into a bar). I don't think I've paid to get into a place in like 4 years.

We stopped in here Sat. nite w/ a group of my friends for my birthday. Got right in, no prob. Music was HORRENDOUS in the beginning (dj mixing 80's w/ new shit, but BAD 80's), then we went downstairs and the dj was muuuch better. Crowd was mixed--u got your typical St. nite college dorks mixed w/ some defiantly sexy singles, and for some reason it worked. Loved the vibe of the whole place, and everyone who worked there was awesome. (Response to another poster: )Oh, and the doorman---NOT gay. Trust. Maybe my friends r just hotter than yours and don't give attitude at doors.

ok first of I was on the guest list. They scanned the guest list like for a second and said no you are not on the list. Then I wait in line and finally get in but just with one other person, we were five people. So if you see we are 5 why would you make me choose my friends. I proceed to get a friend that id djing for the night and comes outside only to gt screamed at by the one of the guys outside. Ok so overall the white gay guy is on a power trip that handles the door. Don't mean to be offensive but thats how I can describe it. He literally took someones ID looked at it and tossed it to the sidewalk. What gives him the right to do this? I give this tiny club a -5 for its outside personell, never ever ever going back there rather go somewhere else to spend my money..

great location, great decor.... we were stunned when we ordered a vodka and coke and a vodka and soda - neither of which had any vodka in them. when we complained the waitress topped them up - they still tasted of nothing. the waitress then poured a shot of vodka to prove it was vodka, but. said....'shit it's water' - they had allegedly been practising making cocktails all afternoon using a vodka bottle full of water and had since been serving mixed drinks with water instead of vodka all night - worrying as we got there around midnight!!! no apology was given shame as the atmosphere is great and the decor moody space age punk cool. i would go back, but not in a mad rush.

This is the place to be if you want to enter the I'm much cooler than you contest with 250 other people .. the music is pretty good but its NYC so it's not that hard to find that kind of club.

I actually had a good time when I was there, but my positive feelings about the place completely changed when I called to inquire about having a party here. The manager had a horrible attitude when I called and completey discouraged me from coming (not sure why as I told him I had a very decent sized party). I won't go into details, but let's just say it was unacceptable and I was shocked. I specifically called 205 because I wasn't looking for the meatpacking attitude and I thought I'd get the chill, LES service I expected. There are so many great LES lounges, that, on principle, it would be hard for me to support an establishment with such innapropriate customer service ever again...

This place is completely lame and pretentious. As if waiting in line for a hipster experience wasn't bad enough, we had to wait in line for this faux hipster experience. The sheer thought of returning both enrages and nauseates at the same time. Oh, and for the love of GOD, do not accidentally leave the tab open. If you do actually leave your card there, just cancel it upon realizing. There could not be a less helpful staff. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
