One of my favorite restaurant on the UES. Great food, excellent cocktails and the largest vodka selection uptown. The place is always gem. May be the previous reviewer went to the wrong place

The first thing you will notice when entering this place is how beautiful the bartenders are. Then the decor very Miami like. This spot also has a great vibe as they pump the music pretty loud. The food...underestimated...is actually really good. Try their veal milanese and the pastas. As for the crowd very euro chic.

Went there last night, immediately had a very low-key, local feel... The hostess was so accommodating, we initially wanted to sit outside, but then once we realized how hot and muggy it was, they moved us inside- no fuss, no dirty looks, no problem. The decor is very casual chic; a lot of white linen, candles, and dim lighting. Now, the food... WOAH. DELISH. I had heard the food was good, but I was not expecting this.. everything was delicious, the appetizers, and the pasta with chicken and cream sauce I ordered was out of this world. The desserts too, did not disappoint. Nutella crepes?? Heaven. The only reason I don't give a 10 is because our waiter could have been a tad more attentive... but still, I cannot wait to go back!

Maybe I was early (9:30PM) or maybe it was just a bad night, but I went to 212 on Dec 8th and the place was DEAD DEAD DEAD. The bartender was cute (not smokin' hot, but cute) and she was very friendly. She chatted me up for 10 minutes while I waited for a friend to join me (hey, she had nothing better to do 'cause the place was DEAD). We stayed for half an hour and then moved on to another spot that was much better. I may give 212 another try, but there are so many choices in New York and this one just didn't pan out.

Unfortunately, we, my boyfriend and I, went here for New Years. I would never go back, bring a date, or go here on business. Unless, I wanted to eat food that was mediocre and overpriced or have the staff who they claim is cute, but are far from it, scam their clientele. As someone who is from the city, waitressed, and bartended, and former model, don't waste your time. Unless, you want to celebrate New Years waiting for the ball to drop just so you could go. They say this place draws a thirty something crowd; my almost 90 year old grandma has more and is more exciting than this, even when sitting on the couch, watching infomercials, saying nothing at all. If you don't have a grandma or want to be robbed then by all means, it's a "10" ;).
