Awesome DJ
By atlanticcity3333 on 4/13/2011
Came for my birthday this past Saturday. The DJ was amazing! Seems like a new person a cute hottie. We got 2 bottles of vodka at the door for 10 of us. We didn't have to wait longer than 2 minutes. They were very organized. The doorman handed my credit card and ID to a hot hostess who then walked us up to the 20th floor. They had the table waiting. All mixers were included which was cool. The crowd had a lot of energy, great ratio of men to women. I recommend getting bottle service if you want to be treated like a VIP and esp if you're all guys. A+ to the new DJ!

Fun Time
By cathyturner on 4/12/2011
Went last night it was so beautiful out! perfect night for the rooftop. On our way in we saw Chris Rock he is so funny! He was very cool about us taking pictures with him. We found seating right away. Ordered from the specialty cocktail list it came in a timely manner and our waitress was very sweet. The views and atmosphere was truly amazing especially in a busy city like NYC.

Heaters
By artistfownow on 4/11/2011
Came by this past Saturday, the rooftop was packed with beautiful people from all over the world. We had a really fun time. The heaters were perfect for the 50 deg night and felt like we were in a warm city. They had hundreds of heaters all over the rooftop. Not to mention the Inside area is very cool as well

redid decor
By asianking67 on 4/8/2011
I first visited 230 Fifth a few months after they opened a few years ago. And thought I had a really wonderful time why not check it out again. It was a nice chilly Saturday evening in March. I was quite impressed that after so many years they have managed to keep it looking new. I chatted up the manager and he explained that they recently redid all the furnature and added many new pieces. Its sad to see places that just let the space go and take it for granted that people will keep visiting. Great job to 230 fifth staff and management that they are actually keeping up. I'm sure they realized that there are many rooftops popping up everywhere and they have to keep check. In conclusion, Same great vibe , quality crowd, and the decor is new and fresh. My boy friend and I had a great time. Recommend checking it out at least once if you haven't already.

great to entertain
By cathyberger34 on 4/7/2011
Great place to entertain guests from out of town. It has a really beautiful view in the penthouse portion and outdoor area. I don't see the pretentious atmosphere some have discussed here. Think its how you view yourself i guess. Staff is always super friendly when it gets packed it can get tricky to get a table but same is true anywhere else in Manhattan. I recommend weeknights for a date or just drinks with friends. They offer brunch on the weekends though no drink specials the food is fantastic

Private Events
By worldyourway11243 on 3/31/2011
I have attended hundreds of private events over the years for work, and 230 fifth stands out from the different venues I have been too. Their management are very attentive and their sales team are on top of it. Some of the things that make this place stand out in my mind are the following: 1. They offer a lot more food then most venues. 2. Food portions are substantially larger. 3.Food is fresh and doesn't taste catered but restaurant quality. 4 Their drinks and bar selection have always been top shelf and don't try to sell you additional product for additional costs. 5.Private event staff are not your typical 60 year old lovely men and women you find in hotels. They are young vibrant , attentive and attractive. I have been here for over a dozen events and thought its about time I share my positive experiences at 230 fifth

Great happy Hour
By toomucher33 on 3/29/2011
Love the fact that this place as a great early crowd on Thurs/Fri and even Saturdays. Very few lounges in the city that are packed early on a Saturday night. Always a great mix of people. It has its share of tourists I personally think they are great to talk to and learn about where they from.
