Sunday Funday

Yes, I would go back!

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I visited the 40/40 Club to watch game 4 of the Heat vs. Knicks playoff series. There was a nice crowd, not too large, already enjoying various sporting events when we arrived. We were seated not too far off the DJ booth area, as we wanted to enjoy fully the visual aesthetics of the entire newly-renovated club. One word to describe it: SPLENDOR. The first rate renovations lend to a first class dining/viewing experience. My girlfriend and I shared a few appetizers and some neat drinks from the bar. The Executive King Crab slider was just a bit of heaven in our mouths, as we couldn't get enough of whatever that ambrosia-like sauce was smothered on the slider. The 40/40 Fries were very well seasoned and the 40/40 Arugula Salad with the pears had flavors so delicately arranged and melded that we almost ordered a second plate. My team lost--what the hell was that last second YOLO 3 pointer by D. Wade?--but my girl was happy the Knicks won. We were both genuinely pleased with our afternoon. It's always fun to exchange playful, playoff trash talk with complete strangers over good food and alcohol. The customer service was pretty good for Manhattan. They really try to adhere to the standards of a private club with personalized and cordial service. Our server and the manager on duty, Sherwin, were incredibly attentive considering the importance of this particular playoff game to NYers. They should get a brunch menu, though, for the weekends.

I <3 the 40/40

Yes, I would go back!

I was there on Monday as a last minute decision to check out the NCAA finals with a couple of friends. That was the best decision we could have made hands down. The place is GORGEOUS. Dark wood paneling and gold accents sets it apart from any other sports bar I have ever been to. There are large TV screens around the main bar and than a bunch of flat screens throughout the venue, so no matter where I looked I was able to see what was happening. They had a DJ there who provided a soundtrack for the night and didn't interrupt the games by playing music. The food was great, we had the 40/40 wings and some sliders and for dessert we had the the sweet potato donuts--everything was GREAT. My server was adorable and she was familiar with the menu and actually suggested the sweet potato donuts, which was a great suggestion. If the night couldn't get any better--the man himself Mr. Jay-z showed up to watch the game as well. It was a pleasant surprise and all in all made my experience that more pleasurable. A few of my friends and I decided to go to the 4040 club to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. We had a great time. First off we made table reservations which were free and got to sit in the stadium style seating. We had drinks and great food and the DJ was awesome. I guess when I made the table reservation I got added to an email list because i recently got invited back for an open bar. I love this place, its my new favorite and I will definitely me there as much as possible

FIGHT CLUB lol a good one

couple guys from college and I went to the 40/40 club for the pacquiao fight...well worth it...the fight is played on like 100 tv's, 3 of them are hugeeee...its a really awesome environment to watch a fight or probably any game...the place was jumpin. we ordered some LIT's which the bartender skillled...and the 40/40 burgers were unbelievable! they got some sauce on them that killlss the big mac sauce lol. The manager, i think Blake?, gave me his card on the way out after really makin sure we were taken care of, he "comped" some wings to our table. but either way, we had a lot of fun, we met some gorgeous girls, and enjoyed the fight!

best sports lounge, hands down

me and my boys needed a place to watch the Finals WITHHH sound so we hit up the 40/40 club...sickest spot hands down! it wasnt tooo packed to the point where we couldnt get in but we got a table. we chilled out, ordered a bucket of beers, ordered some food, came out in no joke 5 min, not even. and the waitress was smokin hot. best part was the DJ was playin ill tracks during the commercials, i didn't kno to watch the game, or dance with some of the hotties there. prices were typical city prices so we didnt care. service was hot. at the end of the day, 40/40 is my new spot!

i heard the club is going to be remodelled....i can't wait to see what jigga man is coming up for the place. i hope they keep the crab cakes

Favorite NYC Sports Bar

Yes, I would go back!

The 4040 club is reasonably priced, the service is great. The music is great, the DJ on Fridays, DJ Jeff is always on point playing the latest spins. I love going on sundays to watch the game.At every table theres a flat screen TV.. I always order the mini tacos and they're delicious!! Will be there this Sunday to watch Wrestle mania!!!

The Best Nightclub in TOWN

Yes, I would go back!

Two weeks ago I went bar hopping with my girls and I can't describe how sick the 40/40 club was. The best music, the best food and the best service around, not to mention the hottest guys in the New York City. For a night that will be unforgettable, hit up the 40/40 club FOR SURE!
