Travelled to NY for girls weekend from DC with 4 friends. The staff was pleasant (even the really big bouncer at the door). Our server was the best! We were treated like celebrities. Beyonce and Jay-Z were in the club (I hear Jay Z's there at least 2-3 times per week). The music was good (a lot of Beyonce and Jay-Z songs) The lounge areas were nice and the decor very chic. The food was tasty and presented nicely on the plates. The drinks were a little watered down for the price. Overall, we can't wait to go again!

40/40 club is the best place to party in New York. You never know who you're going to see at 40/40 club. when Jay-z shows up the crowd starts cheering him on and the woman start taking pictures of him. Over all I had a great time there. IT'S FREE.... THAT'S HOW JAY-Z GIVES BACK TO HIS FANS..... TRESSY LOVES THE 40/40 CLUB

I had the pleasure of going to this club on April 30th. I am new to New York City and I brought my cousin from Atlanta. We both had a wonderful time. The food and drinks are over priced, however the atmosphere was exactly what I expect in a club. The decor was fabulous and the music was hot. My only disappointment was with the staff. More so than not I encountered rude individuals who I would never hire to staff my establishment. I understand the need to have responsible and serious employees, but they came across more like thugs. However, all in all my experience was pleasant. Hire new staff Jay Z.

I have been to the most elite bars, restaurants and clubs but I have never had the gratuity taken out of my bar bill. What about those that pay in cash? Are their drinks priced higher if they pay cash since there is no guarantee that a tip will be left? And on top of that, I left a tip after my drinks and yet that was not deducted from my bill. The bucket seats should be replaced with plush sofas and ottoman downstairs. They take up too much room for those that want to dance. I expected more of this place and was impressed with the hoopla and rave reviews it got - most of those reviews probably came from Jay-Z fans, which I am not.

I had a good time at this trendy and much-hyped spot. The atmosphere was rockin, the music was good, I loved the decor with its swinging chairs and enormous flatscreens! Overpriced drinks and food...but what do you expect? :) I would def go back.

No doubts, this was more than a "hood-rich" ghetto-fab spot. It was a sports bar/club in lavish yet understated elegance. Great atmosphere and service (props to our help for the night, Alex) lent to the great first impression. Any man's dream spot; Beautiful decor with a steady dose of ESPN and dime-pieces galore! Try it at least once before the weekend to see if it's your style. If you dig, go back for more on a weekend night.

great decor, okay crowd, good drink menu and fun snack menu but very rude, and snotty manager with no concept of how to treat her employees or customers.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
