Two weeks ago I went bar hopping with my girls and I can't describe how sick the 40/40 club was. The best music, the best food and the best service around, not to mention the hottest guys in the New York City. For a night that will be unforgettable, hit up the 40/40 club FOR SURE!

If you want to get treated like VIP- the 40 40 club is the place to be! My friend had her 25th birthday party at the club and rented a private room- I believe it was the Remy Lounge. It was soo nice! Pool table and our own sound system (but majority of the night we listened to what the DJ was playing). I have been to many parties in the city, at different clubs, but what I liked about this club was you truly got VIP treatment. Everythign was flawless- from the time we entered the club, to when we closed down the club! Highly recommend for private parties or just a night out with your friends!!

We just stopped by the club for the first time this week to watch some sports and grab some lunch, we ended up coming back for the nightclub!! We had a great time!! It was so busy, but our waitress was great. We were visiting from Alabama, and ended up ordering bottle service. We didn't even know what bottle service was, but our waitress so so patient and helpful, even through it was so busy she took time out to explain how it worked. They made us feel just like VIPS!! This place is great and I would recommend for anyone coming from out of town to check it out!

I went here this past weekend and was completely disappointed! I have been to better places owned by an Average Joe. The place itself was nothing special at all and I wound up getting charged for 2 drinks I didn't even order ($30 extra). Also, the bartender fails to mention to anyone that if you pay by card that in addition to having a $30 minimum, there will be a $100 hold on your account for 3 days and yes, it shows up as an actual purchase! Ridiculous. My friends and I vowed never to go there again!!

I JUST WENT TO THIS SPOT NOT TOO LONG AGO. I HAD A VIP ROOM UPSTAIRS. FIRST OFF THE ROOM WAS VERY, VERY DUSTY! WITH JERSEY'S ALL OVER. IT WAS NOT FILLED WITH A CLUB ESSENCE AT ALL. PLUS, WE HAD TO PUT UP A FEW HUNDRED TO GET IN THE ROOM. WE LEFT WENT DOWNSTAIRS AND THERE IS NO DANCE FLOOR!!!!! WITH SOME "OUT OF SPACE" WHITE SEATS THAT HAD TO COME FROM SOME EBAY SELLER. I THINK HE MEANT TO MAKE IT A SPORTS SPOT. EVERY FLAT SCREEN HAD A GAME ON.THE MEN WATCH THE GAMES AND THE WOMEN WATCH THE MEN. WHICH LEADS TO NO DANCING!THE DRINKS WERE NOT GOOD AND I'M NOT A DRINKER. THEY WERE WEAK!! EVERYBODY WAS STANDING AROUND WHERE THEY CAN FIT LOOKING AT EACH OTHER. THERE ARE LIKE SIX BOOTH FOR GROUPS AND NO PLACE ELSE TO EAT IF YOU ORDERED THEIR MINI BURGERS. THE DJ GOT OFFENDED WHEN SOMEONE ASKED HIM TO PLAY A CERTAIN SONG! THE PLACE IS WACK AND TO MUCH HYPE. TO TOP IT OFF THERE WAS NO WAIT TO GET IN. I SEE WHY!!

I've traveled all over the world and as sports club goes, 40/40 is pretty nice. However, when compared with other upscale establishments, everything other than the decor is just average...this includes the clientele. I think Jay-Z did a great job and I would definitely go back to kick back and enjoy a game with friends, but when I'm looking for anything more than a glorified sports bar and a place where the service and food match my bill, I'll go elsewhere. On another note, in my view the combination of the over the top security and intimidating presence of the numerous bouncers were simply a reflection of the type of clientele attracted to this '"classy" establishment.

When I first heard about the 4040, I thought that it was going to be a really good club scene. Little did I know that I was going to end up in just another over crowded, rude waitress, bouncer pushing club. The only thing that made the club worth going to, was the private room that we ordered. I found myself using the room as an escape from the over crowdedness. Please think twice if you want a club where you can have a good time, and be able to at least breathe without people sweating all over you.

Going here turned out to be the WORST night of my life! In NY from England, we thought itÂ’d be a good idea to check out Jay ZÂ’s club since weÂ’re all big fans. Instead of waiting outside, we got ourselves a table & it rapidly went downhill from there. Firstly, we were FORCED into buying a 2nd bottle of vodka that we neither ordered nor wanted sinc e there was only 2 of us. I actually saw our waitress try & give the bottle to the guys on the table next to us & when they refused, she opened it & left it on our table! Then when I asked for the bill (the bill cheekily included a 3 figure tip for the rather poor service) & paid in cash & requested my credit card (which theyÂ’d taken as security), I was told it had been STOLEN!!! Can you believe that? WhatÂ’s even more frustrating is that I was only told this after IÂ’d handed over almost $700 to settle my bill! Rather convenient, donÂ’t you think? AVOID, unless you enjoy being fleeced!

This was a whole lot of hype and you get nothing in return but an empty wallet. The service was terrible, the place was empty and we waited 1 hour for the first round of drinks, the food I just didn't understand, It was frozen food made to look appealing. And the Drinks don't get me started. And this was for a bachelorette party. I was embarrassed. And they waitress received a $50 buck tip, which they added on the bill We told the managers and they claimed that they would do something and even made we wait, while the "cleaned a section in VIP," to make up for the bad experience, 1 hour later with no seating and no further acknowledgement we left. Oh, I forgot this part, why did we pay cash for our bill, but they are still holding $406.00 on the tab we started. I would not recommend this club to anyone. It's a whole lot of hype with nothing in return.

The place was over packed. There was no place for you to even turn slightly... for it to be so high profiled it gave off the feeling of being a mediocre club... I have been to other bar and lounges and spent less money and was more comfortable.
