In New York there are a lot of secret places, in-fact, Sunita/Sunita Bar is next door to the secret Back Room, however, Sunita is a real hidden gem because when you find it, you discover that it is a place of real substance and you've found something special and old fashioned. It's a small, romantic, elegant place. The cocktails are incredible! My favorites are: Jalapeno Passion Martini, Ginger Martini, Pineapple Mash and the killer Mango Mojito. Sunita, the owner/bartender and a former Chemist, is a real mixologist. She takes pride in her drinks, the way she treats her guests and the way she keeps the place. This is my favorite bar on the LES. It's a quality place with lots of personal touch and it ranks up there with the best cocktail places in NY. This one is a real secret!
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
