I've been to "fine dining establishments" where the vermin was crawling around the joint- this is NYC!!! No excuse, but it does happen, and in places where you least expect it to be the case. Not sure why the first reviewer posted such a comment, but in my experience at Amarachi, which spans over 5 years of dropping in and out, I have never encountered one insect in this establishment. It may be a tad bit untidy, but it isn't crawling with critters. Plus their current restaurant inspection grade is an A. Amarachi is primarily a lounge for local Bedstuy folks, meaning the African American population traditionally associated with this neighborhood, to rent and get their party on. It is also a hang-out spot for the owner and his friends. Consider me a quasi regular, because I have been dropping in and out of this place for years. When cash is low at the end of the night, and I want a drink that isn't watered down- I go here!!! Depending on the night, and who rented the place, the vibe can be very different and interesting: I have enjoyed crashing retirement parties, baby showers, sex toy parties, comedy nights, open mic nights, girls night out nights, and on and on. Usually after 1:30am, when everyone in the house is lit up, the place turns into one big house party.

the drinks are strong and affordable. but the F train doesn't stop anywhere near this spot. It's the G at Classon. I have visas if anyone wants to visit Bed Stuy.
