At one time one of the best bars in Riverdale, easily "Riverdale's Best Kept Secret". Excellent food and drink, a good calm atmosphere, and an all around laid back local joint. But such is no longer the case. Recently, management has been changing direction with where the bar is headed and the clientle it wants to attract. They sitll constantly have great music (with the exception of their open mic night, which has ended despite their advertising), but stopping in for a pint to catch a few tunes with local musicians now gives the air that perhaps the bar has lost it's grasp on how to manage entertainment. In summary, loads of changes recently have led many of the regulars to believe that the bar is quietly dispoising of it's Cheers'esque local style for a more money-driven establishment. It's truly a shame that this once fantastic hometown bar is now quickly on it's way to becoming just another expensive, fast paced, poor serviced New York City trend-bar.

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
